Friday Nights in May
Fort Worth United Soccer club will offer free skills training sessions for your Academy and Junior Kicks age players (U5 through U10). These sessions will run each Friday during the month of May. This is the perfect opportunity to sharpen your player's skills in a fast paced, but FUN, training environment. The sessions will run each Friday in May from 6:15 to 7:30 and are free to all interested players.

About the FWU Soccer Academy
The Fort Worth United Academy program is a training and
development program for U7 through U10 players (ages 6
through 10 years old). For players younger than U7 (4
through 5 years old), FWU offers the
Junior Kicks development program.

Schedule Changes?
In case of weather cancellations, be sure to check the
detailed schedules page before leaving the house.
Too Young for the Academy (U5-U6)?
Fort Worth United offers a youth open skills program ("Junior
Kicks") to all youth players (U5 - U6, ages 4 through
5). Your U5 through
U6 player will be able to train side-by-side with Fort Worth
United's competitive players and Academy players (players
are separated by age group).
Recreational Coaches - FWU Offers
Private Team Training!
Fort Worth United Soccer Club coaches are available to
conduct private skills and tactical training for your
recreational team and/or recreational association. If
you are a recreational coach or recreational association
leader and are interested in having an FWU coach attend one
of your recreational practice sessions, please
use the Contact Us form to send in your request.

00 Girls take 1nd in CSSA Soccerfest Tournament
The FWU 00 Girls cruised to the championship in
the GSSA Soccerfest tournament this past weekend. The 00 Girls,
coached by Kenny Alexis and Mozes Zialu, won 1-0 over Liverpool in the
semis and then played a close game against Solar to take the silver
medal. Congratulations ladies! 5/24/10
01 Girls win GSSA Soccerfest Tournament
With 31 goals scored and only 1 goal allowed, FWU 01G Gold won the 2010 GSSA Soccerfest Tournament. FWU 01G won all 5 games played including Liverpool Reds 01 Copeland (9-0),GSSC Thunder (8-0), and Sting 01 West (4-1).
With 3 wins, FWU 01G advanced into the semifinals where they would face Dfeeters/Samba 01. FWU 01G secured an invitation to the championship game with a 6-0 win over Dfeeters/Samba. The final game showcased the Blue Diamonds and FWU 01G. After displaying strength and determination, the FWU 01G Gold team secured the trophy with a 4-0 win.
Congratulations to the FWU 01G Gold team!
FWU 01G Gold completed the Spring 2010 season in 1st place with total of 54 points. 23 goals scored and only 3 goals allowed in the PAL league, West Gold Division.
00 Girls Gold undefeated in Indoor
The FWU 2000 Girls Gold coached by Kenny Alexis just finished its 3rd winter season undefeated at Apex indoor soccer playing other top academy programs
from our area. The Crowley team that won the 2009 NTSSA U-10 state
championship at the TOC in December has 5 girls on coach Kenny's 00 Gold
academy team and 2 on his 01 Gold academy team. Congratulations
ladies!
00 Girls - New FWU Academy Stars dominate Indoor
We
knew these ladies were good but - wow! The FWU Academy 00 Girls,
coached by
Kenny Alexis, just wrapped up their indoor season at Game On and the
girls in blue dominated their competition. Playing up in the
U10/U11 division, the 00's finished the indoor season undefeated.
The girls in blue scored a whopping 50 goals while only conceding a
total of 6 goals to their opponents! The FWU 00 Girls Academy team
is one of eight FWU Academy teams. Players who are interested in

FWU 96 Girls Academy Graduates
Show Big in Pre-Season Scrimmages - qualify into prestigious
Lake Highlands League
The FWU 96 Girls, last year's FWU Academy graduates, have
gotten off to a tremendous start. The feisty bunch has
already scrimmaged 6 Lake Highlands D1 and D2 teams and have
won 5 of the 6 scrimmages. During 2007, the girls in
blue qualified for the prestigious Lake Highlands Girls
Classic League. Keep an eye on this
up-and-coming team during this years' regular season and
tournament play.
First Academy Graduates Continue
their Dominant Play
Fort Worth United's 95 Boys, the inaugural FWU Soccer
Academy team, became the first Fort Worth based team in over
a decade to qualify directly into Classic Division 1.
The 95 Boys continued their dominance finishing off last
season undefeated in tournament play. In addition, the 95 Blue team
have retained their Classic League Division 1
position for the past
three years.
